Mary Elizabeth Johnson, 83, of the 200 block of Constance Road, died Aug. 2, 1994, in Hillhaven Nursing Home.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Nansemond County, Va., and was a lifelong resident of Suffolk. She was a retired licensed practical nurse for Dr. B.L. Holladay. She was a member of Suffolk Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her brothers, William Stanley Johnson and Herbert Lee Johnson.
Survivors include two nieces, Bobbytte J. Powell of Williamsburg and Betty Lee Brown of Norfolk; a nephew, Robert E. Brown of Norfolk; and several great nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service with family and close friends will be held in Cedar Hill Cemetery on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. by Dr. Don Hammond. A public memorial service will be held in Suffolk Presbyterian Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. Hill Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
