Viola Cherry of the 400 block of Piping Rock Road, died Aug. 2, 1994.
Mrs. Cherry was born in Chesterfield, S.C., and was a member of St. Paul Church of God in Christ, Norfolk.
Survivors include one son, Jesse Cherry Jr. of Norfolk; two sisters, Evelyn A. Pope of Virginia Beach and Geneva James of New Jersey; one brother, Robert Dixion of Baltimore; and two grandchildren. Other survivors include a daughter-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 5, at noon in St. Paul C.O.G.I.C., Norfolk, with Dr. Wilbert L. Daniels presiding. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge.
