Corinne Dail Copeland, 87, of the 600 block of Hessian Road, a school teacher and seamstress, died Aug. 3, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Copeland was born in Chowan County, Va., and was the widow of Kelma R. Copeland Sr. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk for 51 years and the Faith Bible Class. She served as a Sunday School teacher to the children of the church for 25 years.
Survivors include her son, Kelma R. Copeland Jr. and his wife, Laura P. Copeland, of Virginia Beach; four sisters, Jamesey D. Hicks, Loise D. Patton, Frances D. Copeland, all of Edenton, N.C., and Margaret D. Sullivan of Hertford, N.C.; two granddaughters, Alicia G. Copeland and Elizabeth Corinne Copeland-Noia, both of Virginia Beach; a grandson-in-law, Michael Noia of Virginia Beach; and a great-grandson, Tucker Dail Noia of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church of Norfolk by the Rev. Dick Baker. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Beaver Hill Cemetery, Edenton, N.C. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Norfolk Sunday School Division.
