HUSBAND HELD IN WIFE'S DROWNING

The husband of a Navy woman found drowned in her apartment in April has been charged with murder.

Police responded to a call about an unconscious woman in the 3500 block of John St. and found Rhonda Y. Stewart dead.

Stewart was stationed aboard the destroyer tender Puget Sound.

On Thursday, a grand jury charged the woman's husband, Kenneth W. Stewart, with the slaying.

No more details were available. The investigation is continuing.
