Juanita Akin Barnes, 68, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 1994, in a Richmond hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Howard H. Barnes; two daughters, Gayle Richardson of Littleton, N.C., and Annette Martin of New Bern, N.C.; a son, Arthur W. Barnes of Norfolk; two sisters, Doris Johnson of Durham, N.C., and Joyce Simpson of Pensacola, Fla.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Prospect Cemetery, Ebony. Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home, South Hill, is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Prospect United Methodist Church Parsonage Fund or to the MCV/VCU Hospitality House, P.O. Box 10090, Richmond, Va. 23240.
