Pauline Blanchard Darden, 79, of the 3600 block of Don Court died Thursday at Sentara-Norfolk General Hospital following a short illness.
A native of Alamance County, N.C., she was born May 11, 1920. Mrs. Darden was the daughter of the late John and Jenny Fuller Blanchard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Darden, who died Nov. 12, 1993.
Survivors include a sister, Annie Laura Clark of Burlington, N.C.; her godchild, Thomas Asby of Herndon, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Horner-Walker Funeral Home, Plymouth, N.C. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to services.
