Phillip R. Herman, 88, a retired merchant and realtor, died August 4, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Herman was a native of Baltimore, Maryland, and long-time resident of Suffolk, Virginia. He was a member of Ohef Sholom Temple in Norfolk, Virginia. Mr. Herman was a life member of The Masonic Lodge of Suffolk; the Norfolk Elks Club BPOE 38; and the Wards Corner Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, Carlyn M. Herman; three sons, Robert Herman of Virginia Beach, Stephen A. Herman, of Bethesda, Md., Thomas A. Herman of Arlington, Va.; one brother, Lewis H. Herman of Lake Park, Fla.; 5 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A chapel service will be conducted at noon Sunday, August 7, 1994, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Norfolk Chapel by Rabbi Lawrence A. Foreman. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Norfolk Chapel are handling arrangements.
