Mrs. Louise Godwin Floyd Johnson, 79, of 26106 Johnson Road, Parksley, died Friday, Aug. 5, 1994, of heart failure at her home in Parksley
She was born Oct. 4, 1914, in Birdsnest, Va., and was married to Brooks M. Johnson. She was a graduate of Farmville State Teachers College (now Longwood) and attended the College of William & Mary. She was a charter member of the Soroptomist Club and a member of the Women's Club of Accomack County and the Eastern Shore Historical Society. She was the daughter of the late Edmond Eldred Floyd and Louise Godwin Floyd.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Louise Floyd Johnson Young, and a son, J. Edmond Johnson, both of Parksley; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Parksley Cemetery by the Rev. Donald K. Roberts. Friends may call at her late residence at any time. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Baptist Church Memorial Fund, c/o Mrs. A.P. Wessells, Accomac, Va. 23301 or to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements by Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley.
