RAYMOND VAUGHAN SR.

Raymond Vaughan Sr., of the 800 block of Kramer Pl., died Aug. 3, 1994, in a local nursing home.

Mr. Vaughan was born in Norfolk. He retired from public works for the city of Norfolk and from the railroad.

Survivors include his wife, Essie Mae Vaughan; three daughters, Lillian Knight and Florence Alston, both of Chesapeake, and Sharon Reid of Norfolk; three sons, Leroy Vaughan of Virginia Beach and Raymond Vaughan Jr. and Anthony Vaughan, both of Norfolk; a brother, Eugene Vaughan of Chesapeake; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday at Macedonia Church of God in Christ (Portsmouth) by Elder Taft Purkett. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Metropolitan Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Family and friends will assemble at 804 Kramer Pl. at 11 a.m. Monday for the funeral processional to the church (Chesapeake).
