ASK EVERYDAY PEOPLE

Regarding ``Wrong way to go'' (Editorial, Aug. 3): I agree with Oliver North that there is no stigma to using drugs.

If we remove the users, or at least inconvenience them, suppliers will have no one to sell to. If the users are given heavy fines and put on house arrest for a year, I guarantee that the drug market will dry up.

A blue-ribbon national commission should not look at this problem. All of our current problems are the result of either the U.S. Congress or some blue-ribbon commission.

Appoint a commission of everyday working people. Drugs should not be legalized.
