Thelma Irene Stanley Oliver, age 74, of 19071 Oliver Drive, died Saturday, August 6, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk. Mrs. Oliver, a native of Isle of Wight, was a homemaker and a member of Whiteheads Grove Baptist Church and the Ruth Walden Circle.
Survivors include: (1) Son: J. Floyd Oliver Jr. of Smithfield, Va.; (1) Sister: Grace S. Wheelbarger of Elizabeth City, N.C.; 3 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Monday Aug. 8, 1994, at 2:00 P.M. in Whiteheads Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Russell O. Leonard officiating. Burial will follow in Whiteheads Grove Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. in Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, and suggest that memorial contributions may be made to Whiteheads Grove Baptist Church Endowment Fund, 18366 Benn's Church Blvd. Smithfield, Va. 23430. Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, will handle the arrangements.
