Charles Earl Bright Sr., 74, of Raleigh, died Saturday, August 6, 1994. Mr. Bright served as a Radio Operator in the U.S. Merchant Marine during World War II and was a retired employee of the Glidden Company. He was an active member of the North Hills Club.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, Millbrook Rd. The burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
Surviving: wife, S. Jane Bright; sons, Charles E. Bright Jr. of Raleigh, Morgan D. Bright of Youngsville and Mason T. Bright of Raleigh; brothers, Melvin W. Bright and W. Oscar Bright both of Virginia Beach, Va.; sisters, Susan B. Pratt of Virginia Beach, Va.,; and Frances B. Wade of Chesapeake Va.; grandchildren, Wendy, Jesse, Traci, Victoria, Kristi and Max.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Raleigh Rescue Mission, 314 E. Hargett St. Raleigh, NC 27601 or Boys and Girls Home of North Carolina, P.O. Box 127, Lake Waccamaw, NC 28450.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
