The recent case of anti-abortion activist Paul J. Hill raises two very serious questions:
What do Americans call people in other countries who murder, torture and harass in the name of their particular god? Terrorists.
How many people involved in radical anti-abortion groups like Mr. Hill actually believe in the cause, as opposed to those who will find a reason to hate, intimidate and kill anyway?
How many of these people who claim to be on God's side are psychopaths hiding behind the Bible? I see nothing in the Scriptures allowing servants of God to harass people in decidedly un-Christian fashion or to use murder in the name of the Lord. If mainstream Christians want to help end the political and sociological backlash that affects them these days, maybe they should separate the truly devoted from the truly deluded.
The sign proclaiming ``Execute Murderers'' that Mr. Hill was pictured holding should apply to all, regardless of theology. Of that there is no question.
