Mary Godwin Ingram, 86, of the 3800 block of Nansemond Parkway, died Aug. 7, 1994, in Norfolk Community Hospital.
A native of Nansemond County, she spent most of her life in New York City and was a domestic worker. She was the widow of Matthew Ingram and daughter of the late Charles Godwin and Ethel Reed Godwin. She was a member of Union Baptist Church in the Shoulders Hill section of Suffolk and Rose of Sharon Fellowship.
Survivors include a brother, Landon Godwin of Suffolk; sister-in-law, Ethel Everett Godwin of Suffolk; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Union Baptist Church by Dr. C.V. Russell Sr. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in church at 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
