Hilda Kiyono Litchfield, 72, formerly of the 1100 block of Wadena Road and a resident of the area since 1950, died Aug. 7, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Litchfield was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and was the widow of William James Litchfield. She was retired from London Fog as a seamstress. She was a member of DeBaun Memorial Baptist Church and was a former Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of Amalgamated Clothing & Textile Workers Union.
Survivors include two daughters, Elfrieda L. Kerns of Farmville, Va., and Ruth L. Kerns of Richmond, Va.; two sons, William W. Litchfield of Norfolk and Reinhart J. Litchfield of South Mills, N.C.; her mother, Kame Odo Toguchi of Pearl City, Hawaii; two sisters, Sadako ``Lillian'' Arakaki of Honolulu and Kimi Sugitaya of Aiea, Hawaii; three brothers, Kiyoshi Toguchi, Hiro Toguchi and Tadashi Toguchi, all of Pearl City; and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Kotoku Toguchi.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in DeBaun Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. Donald R. Joyner. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the building fund of DeBaun Memorial Baptist Church, 1510 Campostella Road, Chesapeake, Va. 23320.
