The Army Corps of Engineers on Monday began a feasibility study in connection with a proposal to renourish northern Dare County beaches.
Coastal engineers will visit various test stations between Kitty Hawk and South Nags Head, extracting samples of dry beach and off-shore sand.
Completion of this study is scheduled for Aug. 20.
