In 1993, Philip Morris International's pre-tax profit per
cigarette was 0.51 cents and Philip Morris U.S.A.'s pre-tax profit
per cigarette was 1.44 cents. A graphic with a story in Sunday's
BusinessNews section was incorrect.
The Lakewood Civic League will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at W.T.
Cooke Elementary School on 15th Street, Virginia Beach. The league's
name was wrong in a MetroNews story Monday on a proposed parking
ordinance. Parking regulations are not on the agenda, though they
may be discussed.
Also, the names of resident Brenda McCormick and City
Councilwoman Louisa M. Strayhorn were misspelled in the story.
