Blue skies, good food and music and a variety of arts and crafts drew crowds to the 19th annual Folk Arts Festival at Princess Anne Park last weekend.
The annual outdoor show, featuring 75 artists and crafters from up and down the East Coast, specializes in such old-time crafts as pottery, basketweaving, woodworking, weaving, painting, jewelry making and more.
This year's two-day event attracted about 34,000 spectators.
``It was fabulous. The weather couldn't have been better if it had been made to order,'' said Marti Lipscomb of the Department of Parks and Recreation.
The entertainment, especially young country singer Troy Hedspeth of Virginia Beach, attracted a lot of people, she said. ILLUSTRATION: Photos by Carole J. Arnold, City Public Information Office
