14-YEAR-OLD BOY HIT BY A TRUCK CRITICALLY INJURED

A 14-year-old boy was critically hurt when a truck hit him late Tuesday after he got off a TRT bus on General Booth Boulevard, police said.

The boy, whose name was not available, was taken to Virginia Beach General Hospital after the accident, which happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. Police spokesman Mike Carey said he was told the teen's condition was critical.

Carey said the victim crossed in front of the stopped bus near the KOA campground and was struck by a southbound truck.

The accident is under investigation.
