Richard Lloyd Crane, 66, died Aug. 8, 1994.
Mr. Crane was a native of Gainesville, Ga., and was the son of Ruby Severt of Kannapolis, N.C., and the late Robert Crane. He was the widower of Hazel Spencer Crane. He retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Crystal Shop 67, after 40 years and had served in the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Robert L. Crane of Richmond; a stepdaughter, Patricia M. Gamble of Abingdon, Va.; two sisters, Marie Anderson of Kannapolis, N.C., and Ruth Burris of Mount Pleasant, N.C.; a brother, Paul Severt of Mount Holly, N.C.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Michael Brewer. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
