Louise Vann Boone, 72, of Main Street, retired director of the Albemarle Regional Library, died Aug. 10, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
She was a member of Murfreesboro Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. She was a graduate of Meredith College and Emory University and did graduate work at Columbia University. She was a member of the N.C. Genealogical Society, Daughters of the American Revolution and Jamestown Society.
Survivors include a brother, William D. Boone Jr. of Charlotte; two nieces, Barbara B. Buescher of Raleigh and Linda B. Stamey of Charlotte; and a nephew, David S. Boone of Hurdle Mills, N.C.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Winton Baptist Church by the Rev. Thomas Caulkins, the Rev. Stephen Moore and Dr. Davis Smith. Burial will be in Ahoskie Cemetery. Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling arrangements.
