Fredrick Melvin Byrn, 57, of the 1900 block of Marble Trail, an automotive service manager, died Aug. 9, 1994, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mr. Byrn was born in San Antonio, Texas. He was employed with Virginia Beach Dodge.
Survivors include his wife, Ginny Byrn; three daughters, Catherine Byrn and Janet Freeman, both of Virginia Beach, and Ginny Harley of California; three sons, James Byrn, Michael Byrn and Charles Byrn, all of Virginia Beach; a sister, Jackie S. Lindsey of Oklahoma; a brother, James H. Byrn of Hampton; six grandchildren; and a close cousin, Henry Horton of Chesapeake.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by Chaplain James Fedor. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
He loved all sports; his love for his family came before everything.
