Willie Rivenbark Jones, 85, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 1994, at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News.
She was born in Duplin County, N.C., Sept. 29, 1908, daughter of the late David W. and Naomi Hutchinson Rivenbark. She was a member of Arlington Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, N.C.
Survivors include daughters, Margaret Hinton Brantley of Landsing, Kan., Mary Hinton Strange and Willie Doris Proctor, both of Rocky Mount, N.C.; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, the Rev. Russell Lee Hinton.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Johnson Funeral Home, Sunset Ave. Chapel, Rocky Mount, N.C., with the Rev. Bill Tomlinson officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Enfield, N.C. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and other times at the home of Mary Strange, 2928 Ridgecrest Drive, Rocky Mount.
