The badly decomposed body of a woman was found in an apartment Wednesday night after relatives became concerned that they had not seen her for several days.
Police are treating the case as a homicide.
They would not release the woman's name until her identity could be confirmed.
The body was found about 6:25 p.m. after police were called to the 600 block of 43rd St. by concerned relatives of the missing 29-year-old woman. The landlord let police in.
Police said the woman had been dead for at least three days. The body was sent to the state medical examiner's office in Norfolk.
