The normally placid waters of Mill Creek will be churned into a froth this weekend during the 68th annual Hampton Cup regatta for inboard boats.
Elimination trials Friday and Saturday will be followed by Sunday's finals. Competition will begin at noon each day. Spectators are afforded a good view of the race from the shores of Mill Creek, adjacent to Fort Monroe. Admission is free.
Classes are expected to include Grand National (old 7-Liter), 6-Liter, 5-Liter, 2.5-Liter Stock, 2.5-Liter Modified, 1-Liter Stock, 1-Liter Modified, Super Stock, K-Racing Runabout and Jersey Speed Skiff. by CNB
