Thelma F. Joyner, 77, of the 200 block of Malibu Drive, a homemaker, died Aug. 11, 1994, in Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
Mrs. Joyner was born in Hertford County, N.C. She was a member of Menola Baptist Church, Menola, N.C.
Survivors include her husband, Raleigh Joyner of the home; five sons, Mark Joyner of Murfreesboro, N.C., Eddie Joyner of Baltimore, Md., Curtis Joyner and Raleigh Joyner Jr., both of Ahoskie, and Bill Fennell of Union, N.C.; nine daughters, Thelma Dunn, Viola Taylor and Virgie Smith, all of Hampton, and Catherine Johnson of Murfreesboro, N.C., Joyce Ridley of Ahoskie, Elsie Blythe of Como, N.C., Barbara Riddick of Powellsville, N.C., Linda Joyner of Winton, N.C., and Annette Joyner of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Lettie Parker of Saley, Va., and Elsie Long of Murfreesboro, N.C.; four brothers, Lee Fennell, Norfleet Fennell and Bud Fennell, all of Ahoskie, and Malon Fennell of Como; 27 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Menola Baptist Church, Menola, N.C., by the Rev. A.M. Williams. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Hunter's Funeral Home, Ahoskie, in charge.
