As a taxpayer and voter in this country, I am getting sick and tired of hearing ``the government is going to pay.''
Who do these people think gives the government its money to pay with?
They talk about universal health-care costing $50 billion - business to pay one-third, individuals to pay one-third and the government to pay one-third. Seems to me that individuals and the government are the same. This means we pay two-thirds and business pays one-third - and that's OK. But let's call a spade a spade and quit referring to the government as a separate money-producing entity.
We are the government; it's our money!
