Iredell P. Brown of the 2500 block of Myers Road, a retired teacher, died Aug. 11, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Brown was born in Elizabeth City and was retired from the Chesapeake Public Schools. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Norfolk, the Deaconess Board, Inspirational Choir, Sanctuary Choir, Recreation Department and Decoration Board. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Margaret Francis (NU)101, and Daughters of Icesle. She was a graduate of Elizabeth State University.
Survivors include her husband, Nathaniel Brown Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Norfolk, by Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Cemetery, Norfolk, with O.E.S. (NU)101 rites. Daughters of Icesle will assemble at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, will be at 7 p.m. Sunday. Family and friends will assemble from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at 2501 Myers Road, Chesapeake, at 1 p.m. Monday for the funeral processional to the church.
