NEW RELEASES

The second edition of Virginia Moore's Scottsville on the James, published by Dietz Press, is available at Scottsville Museum, (804) 977-5536. The book is an informal history of southern Albemarle County from the times of Monacan Indian settlements to the 1969 floods. It sells for $19.95. All proceeds will go to the Scottsville Museum.

R & M Publishing Co. of Holly Hill, S.C., this month will publish Richmond resident Peggy Drewery Friend's book, So That His Death Will Have Not Been in Vain, about her son's death in the military.
