George William Turner Sr., 76, died August 13, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
He was a native of Exmore and was married to Anne Kellam Turner. He was the son of the late James E. and Alberta Ashby Turner. He was a farmer and attended Belle Haven United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Broadwater Masonic Lodge (NU)71 AF & AM, and Exmore Moose Lodge (NU)683.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Carole T. Floyd of Marionville, Va.; one son, George William Turner Jr. of Exmore, Va.; two sisters, Elizabeth T. Byrd and Mary T. Boggs, both of Exmore, Va.; and four grandsons.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Belle Haven Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Robert L. Gue and the Rev. James H. Perry. Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore, is handling the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewater Lost Chord Club, c/o American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513.
