A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed on a city street Sunday night while walking with a relative.
Police would not release the victim's identity Sunday, and details of the shooting were unclear. But police said the teen was found at 10:14 p.m. in the 1100 block of County Street with a gunshot wound to his chest.
They believe someone shot at him several times and that he tried to flee before collapsing.
The youth was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
