Iris Johnson Schwartz, 74, died Sunday, Aug. 14, 1994, in a Chesapeake, Va., hospital.
Mrs. Schwartz was a native of Whiteville, N.C., and a former resident of Norfolk, Va. She was employed in the cafeteria of Granby High School for many years and was also a homemaker. Mrs. Schwartz was a Methodist, the daughter of the late James W. and Mrs. Jessie Ward Johnson, and the widow of Robert Lee Schwartz.
Mrs. Schwartz is survived by one son, Robert ``Bobby'' Gray Schwartz of Buxton; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Food Pantry, c/o Mount Olivet United Methodist Church, Manteo, N.C. Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, is in charge of arrangements.
