Kathleen Johnson Mondello, died suddenly Saturday, Aug. 13, 1994, at her residence.
She was a native of Bay Shore, Long Island, N.Y., and a homemaker. Mrs. Mondello was a member of Duck Woods Golf and Country Club and participated in numerous community activities. She was the daughter of the late Edward Johnson and Mrs. Rosina Hill Johnson and the wife of Joseph P. Mondello.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Mondello is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Mondello Shelhorse of Long Island, N.Y.; one sister, Mary Fischer of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Edward Johnson of Sherburne, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Joseph Shelhorse of Alexandria, Va., Dennis James Shelhorse of New York, N.Y., and Jill Shelhorse of Las Vegas, Nev.; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass was conducted on Monday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m. in the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church by Father Terrence Collins. The family suggest that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, handled arrangements.
