SAMUEL A. WRITER

Samuel Alexander Writer, 89, a retired factory manager in Massachusetts, died Aug. 15, 1994, in Hillhaven Holmes Nursing Center.

Mr. Writer was born in Kiev, Russia, and was the widower of Honey Writer.

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley L. and son-in-law, Leonard Shapiro of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Leslie White of Norfolk, Eric Shapiro of Heightstown, N.J. and Lori Shapiro of Virginia Beach; and one great-grandchild, Seth White of Norfolk.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall, Kempsville Chapel, by Rabbi Israel Zoberman. Burial will be in King David Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. The memorial week will begin immediately following the interment at 5109 Violet Bank Drive, Virginia Beach.

Family wishes that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Congregation Beth Chaverim, P.O. Box 5130, Virginia Beach, 23455 or to the Very Special Arts Va., 2218 Ebb Tide Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23451.
