Veola Williams Morehead, 86, of the first block of Ransey Circle, a homemaker, died Aug. 15, 1994, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mrs. Morehead was born in Oak City, N.C., and was the widow of Louis Morehead. She was a member of Cathedral of Faith Church of God and Christ, Chesapeake, and the Mother's Board of the church.
Survivors include three daughters, Anna Cole and husband, Richard, of Chesapeake, Norma Morehead of Far Rockaway, N.Y., and Sylvia Parker Howell and husband, Roosevelt, of Chesapeake; a son, Elbert Morehead of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sisters, Pauline Latham and Geraldine Latham, both of Brooklyn; two half brothers, Samuel Latham and Clifton Latham, both of Brooklyn; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and an aunt, Sweetie Little of Brooklyn. She was predeceased by a son, Arnold Morehead.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cathedral of Faith Church of God and Christ, Chesapeake, by Dr. G. Wesley Hardy. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
