CHRISTOPHER CASEY ORGANIZING THE CITY'S FIRST AMERICAN MUSIC FESTIVAL

He lives on a houseboat, he's worked cutting salmon on the ``slime line'' in Alaska and his best buddy is named Gilligan.

Christopher Casey (or ``Creep,'' as his twin brother refers to him) is the director of Beach Events/Ocean Occasions and most recently has been busily organizing the city's first American Music Festival - a giant extravaganza Labor Day weekend featuring headliners such as Billy Ray Cyrus, The Beach Boys, The Temptations and The Four Tops. The effort to get everything done is massive and time consuming. (Casey wants to remind you tickets are available at Ticketmaster.)

A New England native, home now for Casey is Virginia Beach - or wherever his boat is tied up.

Full name: Christopher George Casey.

What brought you to the Beach? My houseboat (ha). Really, it was a girlfriend.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I'd like to plan my time better so I could see more of my growing family in New England.

Secret vice: I can eat jars of artichoke hearts in one sitting.

Favorite restaurant: A cozy breakfast nook on Shore Drive - Corner Table.

Your favorite night on the town: Meeting friends to play pool and solve the world's ills at the Lynnhaven Pub.

Favorite TV shows: Old ``Saturday Night Live'' reruns.

Favorite sport: Playing: golf and basketball. Watching: football (New England Patriots).

Last vacation: I don't really take vacations. Instead, I just take a day off here and there.

Of what achievements are you most proud? Hall of Fame designation for Special Olympics International.

What would you like on your epitaph? The quote isn't as important as the date. Anytime past the year 2000 would be great. ILLUSTRATION: Staff photo by David B. Hollingsworth
