WOMAN CHARGED IN HAMPTON DOUBLE SHOOTING

A woman was arrested Monday in what police said was Hampton's first domestic homicide this year. Her boyfriend was wounded and his aunt was killed in the shooting.

Queen E. McJunkins, 66, was shot in the head in her home in the 200 block of Cellardoor Court about 10:18 p.m., police said. She was pronounced dead on arrival at Sentara Hampton General Hospital.

McJunkins' death was the seventh homicide in Hampton this year, police spokesman Donnie Moore said.

Anthony McJunkins, 26, was listed in stable condition Tuesday after undergoing surgery for a gunshot wound in his upper left arm.

Moore said police arrested McJunkins' girlfriend, Tammi Monique Barnes, 22, at the scene after she phoned police to report the shootings.

Barnes has been charged with one count each of murder, maiming and attempted murder. She also faces three counts of use of a firearm.
