Barbara Westbrook Pelkey, 40, a student at Virginia Wesleyan College, died suddenly, Aug. 15, 1994, in Plattsburg, N.Y.
She was a resident of Chesapeake and a native of Richmond.
Mrs. Pelkey is survived by her husband, Walter G. Pelkey; a daughter, Michele Brake; and two sons, Grey and Kyle Pelkey; four grandchildren; her parents, Lucille H. Westbrook and Edward B. Westbrook, both of Richmond; two brothers, E.C. ``Buster'' Westbrook of Richmond and Mark R. Westbrook of Boise, Idaho.
The remains rest at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., Richmond, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, and where a funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday by the Rev. Joseph T. Carson III and Dr. Michael Curry. Burial will be in Deep Run Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following.
