ARTHUR W. CARLSON

Arthur William Carlson, 73, of the 200 block of Rodman Road, went home to be with our Lord on Aug. 16, 1994.

Mr. Carlson was born in Boston. He had retired from the U.S. Navy as a master chief after 26 years and was also retired from the City of Norfolk Delinquent Tax Department after 10 years. He was a member of First Church of God-Anderson and Fleet Reserve Association-at-large.

Survivors include his loving wife, Marie L. Carlson; a daughter, Linda Johnson of Manchester, Conn.; a son, Larry Carlson of Marietta, Ga.; and seven grandchildren, Tami and Tracy Devine, Tara and Tiffany Carbart, Zachary, Kristen and Andrew Carlson.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Church of God-Anderson by the Rev. Wayne Stout. Burial will be private in Hampton National Cemetery with military honors. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Memorial donations may be made to the First Church of God-Anderson.
