Cedric D. Castelloe, 74, of Carawan Lane, died Aug. 17, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Castelloe was born in Bertie County, N.C. He had retired after 43 years as a tool and die maker with J.G. Wilson Corp. Mr. Castelloe was a member of Great Bridge Baptist Church. Other memberships include Great Bridge Masonic Lodge (NU)257; G.B. Royal Arch Chapter (NU)82, past high priest and PDDGHP; Ionic Royal Arch Chapter (NU)46, past high priest; Virginia Research Royal Arch Chapter (NU)1753; Grice Commandery (NU)16; and C.B. Vance AMD Council (NU)85. Mr. Castelloe was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Castelloe is survived by his wife of 53 years, Edith W. Castelloe; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Nancy Castelloe; his daughter and son-in-law, Priscilla and Thomas Ricks, all of Chesapeake; two brothers, James W. Castelloe of Asheville, N.C., and MacReady Castelloe of Chesapeake; two sisters, Marie Chappell of Virginia Beach and Gertrude Meehan of Gloucester; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Great Bridge Baptist Church by the Rev. Charles Moseley with burial following at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Masonic rites will be held at the cemetery. The family will receive friends at Oman Family Funeral Home, Great Bridge, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and other times at the residence.
