Survivors include his mother, Susan Shipp of Virginia Beach; his father, Richard W. Shipp Sr. of Norfolk; a brother, Richard W. Shipp Jr. of Norfolk; maternal grandfather, Paul R. Geiger of Virginia Beach; maternal stepgrandmother, Margaret Geiger of Virginia Beach; paternal grandmother, Anna Mae Shipp of Norfolk; and an aunt, Roxane Geiger of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
