Hubert C. Agner, 66, of the 5500 block of Springhill Road, a retired chief petty officer, died Aug. 17, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Agner was born in Rowan County, N.C., and was retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years. He also retired from civil service after 17 years. He was a Mason and a member of Fleet Reserve Association at-large, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and Vietnam and was the widower of Doris L. Agner.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Agner of Norfolk and Brenda Bonkowski of Longview, Wash.; a son, Terry D. Agner of Norfolk; his father, Willie A. Agner Sr. of Salisbury, N.C.; a sister, Mary Motley of Salisbury; a brother, Willie A. Agner Jr. of Salisbury; and a grandchild, Angela Bonkowski of Longview, Wash.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with military honors, by the Rev. Michael Motley. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements.
