Stephen A. Doran, 33, died Aug. 3, 1994 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Formerly of Virginia Beach, Mr. Doran was a graduate of Bayside High School, class of 1979, and of Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship, class of 1980. He was a merchant seaman serving as chief engineer for Crowley Towing and Transportation and was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Oak Hill, W.Va., as well as the Seafarers International Union.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Booth Doran; stepdaughter Taryn Burns of Fayetteville, W.Va.; his parents, Robert and Margaret Doran of Virginia Beach; and three brothers, Bob Doran of Chesapeake, Joe Doran and Pat Doran of Virginia Beach.
Services were held at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Aug. 10, 1994. The clergyman officiating was Father Anthony Morris. The funeral was conducted by Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, W.Va.
