CASTING TODAY IN RICHMOND FOR MOVIE FAMILY CHANNEL'S OPEN CALL IS FOR THE TV MOVIE ``TAD.''

An open casting call for a Family Channel movie is being held today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at George Wythe High School, 4314 Crutchfield St., in Richmond.

The movie, ``Tad,'' is about Tad Lincoln, the youngest son of Abraham Lincoln. it centers on his perspective of the Civil War and his relationship with his father.

The open casting call is being held for actors and extras, including those for a number of speaking parts. The casting director is looking for all ages of men, women and children. They also are seeking Civil War re-enactors, Native Americans, gymnasts and lots of boys ages 6 to 12. All candidates should bring a current photograph.

To get to George Wythe High School, take Interstate 64 West to the Interstate 95 South exit, then get onto the Powhite Expressway at its exit. After going through the expressway toll plaza, get into the left lane and take Chippenham Parkway South. Then take the Midlothian Turnpike East (Route 60). Go approximately 1 1/2 miles, and the high school will be on the left. Look for ``Tad'' signs.
