DAVID J. CRAFT

David Jason ``D.J.'' Craft, 73, of 1532 Princess Anne Road, died Saturday, August 20, 1994, in Virginia Beach General Hospital. He was a native and life long resident of Princess Anne County.

He was the husband of Mary Barnes Craft. In 1984, D.J. retired after 15 years as a plumbing supervisor with the Chesapeake Public School System. He was a member of Charity United Methodist Church; a Coast Guard veteran of World War II; and member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4809 in Norfolk.

In addition to his wife, Mary, D.J. is survived by one sister, Mrs. Joseph B. (Lucille) Nye, and one brother, Frank L. Craft, both of Virginia Beach; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted Monday, August 22, at 2 p.m. in Charity United Methodist Church Cemetery, Gum Bridge Road, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Thomas Markham and the Rev. Thomas P. Reynolds. The family will receive friends in the Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Avenue Chapel, tonight from 7:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, 23513.
