E. LOUISE BREDAHL

E. Louise Bredahl, 77, of the 6200 Block of Powhatan Ave., died August 19, 1994, in Norfolk. She died at home surrounded by her family, as was her wish.

Louise was born in Southampton County and raised on a farm between Courtland and Capron. In 1940 she married Lorence Bredahl, a Navy man from Fontanelle, Iowa. She lived most of her life in Norfolk where she raised two children and worked at the Q and RA Department of the Naval Air Rework Facility (NARF). She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk, The Norfolk Senior Center, DAV Chapter (NU)4, American Legion Post 0247 and Fleet Reserve Branch (NU)60.

Louise is best known for her work in the community. She served as a volunteer for the Seaman's Center, Meals on Wheels, WHRO-TV, The Dwelling Place and Food Share.

She is survived by her husband, Lorence; a son, Nels of Klamath Falls, OR, a daughter, Margaret Cooper and son-in-law, David of Grand Junction, CO; two step-granddaughters and a step-great-granddaughter.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 3 P.M. Monday in First Presbyterian Church by The Rev. J. Shepherd Russell, Jr., where the family will remain to receive friends following the service. Arrangements are by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Tidewater Drive Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk, The Norfolk Senior Center or the charity of your choice.
