Local police are asking public assistance in solving these cases:
CHESAPEAKE
Police need help finding a person who brutally beat a man in the South Norfolk area of Chesapeake.
On April 29, Michael Riddick was riding his bicycle on Bethel Road and Algona Road when he was approached by a man. The man initially talked with Riddick but then assaulted him.
Police have identified the suspect as Isaac Sampson, 20. He is described as black, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 175 pounds.
Angela Gail Roman, 31, who is also known as Angela Marchbakess, is wanted in connection with an armed robbery.
Roman is described as white, 5 feet 3 inches tall, about 105 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. She is known to frequent Diamond Springs and Ocean View.
Craig Aaron Hooper, 35, is wanted in connection with four burglaries, four grand larcenies, three conspiracies to commit burglaries and two counts of failing to appear in court. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
Hooper is described as white, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last known to live in the 5000 block of Finn Road in Virginia Beach.
PORTSMOUTH
Lorenzo L. Winfield, 18, who is also known as John Porter, is wanted on two counts of malicious wounding, failure to appear and several misdemeanor charges.
He is described as black, 6 feet tall and about 160 pounds.
John Sylvester Richardson, 43, is wanted for two counts of burglary, two counts of destroying property and violation of probation and parole.
He is described as black, 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 215 pounds.
Carlton L. Jones, also known as Carl L. Jones, 34, is wanted for two counts of burglary and one count of malicious wounding.
He is described as black, 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 130 pounds.
NORFOLK
On Sunday, Aug. 7, just after 11a.m., fire units were called to Christ Cathedral Church at 301 W. 32nd St. On arrival, they found the second floor of the office on fire.
The fire was intentionally set, and damage was estimated at $20,000.
HAMPTON
Willie Lee Harmon, 29, is wanted in connection with a car theft.
Harmon is described as black, 6 feet 6 inches tall and 180 pounds.
Derrick L. McKinney, 23, is wanted on two counts of obtaining money under false pretenses.
McKinney is described as black, 6 feet tall and 215 pounds.
Marcie J. Streeter, 24, is wanted on several counts of forgery and uttering.
