Thomas Edward West Jr., 36, of the 300 block of W. Olney Road, died Aug. 21, 1994, in his residence.
Mr. West was born in Key West, Fla. He was a dance instructor for Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Atlanta, Ga., and previously taught in their studio in Hampton, Va. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include his parents, Shirley Jean Trudeau West and Thomas Edward West Sr., both of Norfolk; three sisters, Nikki L. Flynn and Tanya L. West, both of Norfolk, and Shannon M. Turner of Carrollton, Va.; three brothers, Perry L. West, Shawn M. West and Trace P. West, all of Norfolk; paternal grandmother, Florence West of Key West, Fla.; maternal grandfather, Joseph Trudeau of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and special friends, Susan Ossario and Jeff Griffith, both of Atlanta, Ga.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norfolk, by Father John Dorgan. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Candii program at 3309 Granby St., Norfolk.
