Joan Carolyn Frye Waggoner of Dock Landing Road died Aug. 21, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
She was a native of Martinsville, Va., and a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Frank M. Waggoner; a stepson, Gary Waggoner of Tulsa, Okla.; her mother, Ruby M. Frye of Churchland; two sisters, Kay Clare of Naples, Fla., and Ruth Holt of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, Maynard Frye of Suffolk, and Carlton Frye of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two nieces; and three nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Liberty Baptist Church, Suffolk, by Pastor T.A. Powell. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Liberty Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1055, Suffolk, Va. 23439-1055.
