Dorothy Ross Evans, 91, of the 9300 block of Sturgis St., a retired salesperson, died Aug. 21, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Evans was born in Townsend, Va., and was a member of Fairmont Park Methodist Church. She was the widow of Thomas S. Ross Sr. She retired from the materials department of J.C. Penney Co. She was a member of Virginia Chapter (NU)22 Order of the Eastern Star; Zulekia Court (NU)35 Ladies of the Oriental Shrine and an honorary member of its Patrol Unit; Ladies Auxiliary of the Drum and Bugle Corps of Khedive Temple; Ocean View Senior Citizens; and 60 Plus in Ocean View.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Paschang of Virginia Beach; a son, Thomas S. Ross Jr. of Mount Vernon, Va.; four sisters; one brother; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kemspville Chapel, by the Rev. Charles Moore. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Order of Eastern Star rites will be accorded at graveside. Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Crippled Children's Hospitals.
